Your first appointment with me is all about laying the groundwork for our journey together. During this session, it's a relaxed, open conversation where we get to know each other. You can share what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you have. I'll be there to listen, understand, and outline how we can work together. It's a judgment-free zone where you're encouraged to be yourself, colorful language and all, and share freely to start your journey towards growth and healing.

Therapy sessions are typically 50-60 minutes long and involve a collaborative process tailored to your unique needs and goals. We'll engage in open and honest conversations about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Depending on what's most helpful for you, we might use a variety of approaches, including traditional talk therapy, EMDR for trauma processing, experiential techniques like role-play or guided imagery, and other evidence-based methods. Together, we'll explore challenges, identify patterns, and develop strategies to help you heal, grow, and achieve your goals.

Therapy length varies depending on your needs and goals. Some clients find significant progress in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term therapy. We'll discuss your progress regularly and adjust our approach as needed.

We'll meet virtually through secure video sessions or phone calls. Online therapy offers the same benefits as in-person therapy, with added convenience and flexibility. To ensure your safety and privacy, please be in a quiet, private space for our sessions, and not be driving. You'll receive a link to join our secure video platform before our scheduled time.

Currently, I do not offer in-person sessions, focusing exclusively on online therapy. This may change in the future, but for now, all sessions are conducted virtually.

Yes, absolutely. What you share in therapy is strictly confidential, with limited exceptions required by law (such as if you pose a risk to yourself or others). It's important to feel safe and trust that your privacy is protected.

Sometimes, if it feels like a good fit for you, I suggest exercises or resources to support our work together. However, this is always optional and tailored to your individual needs.

Session Fees: My standard fee for a 50-minute individual therapy session is $250. Sessions are billed for the full scheduled time to ensure dedicated planning, preparation, and follow-up, even if the full time is not used.
Billing: Your credit card on file will be charged the morning of your scheduled appointment. If your card declines, we'll need to address this before your session begins to avoid disruption.
Cancellation Policy: To avoid the full session fee, a 24-hour notice for cancellation is required. This allows me to offer your reserved time to another client in need. Late cancellations (less than 24-hour notice) and missed appointments will be charged the full session fee. In rare circumstances, I may waive the fee at my discretion.

We understand that therapy can be expensive, and we want to support you in any way we can. Unfortunately, at this time, we don't accept insurance. However, we can provide a Superbill (monthly receipt) that you can use with your insurance company to claim out-of-network benefits. We're also happy to accept HSA/FSA cards for payment and offer sliding scale.
Additionally, we believe that accepting insurance could potentially lead to insurance-based treatment plans and compromise the confidentiality of our clients. We want to ensure that you receive the personalized care and attention you deserve offered through our late night therapy.

ItemAccording to the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" outlining the potential charges for the services provided to you. It's important to note that at the beginning of therapy, it's difficult for a therapist to predict the exact number of sessions you may need. The total cost of services will depend on the number of sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services provided. This estimate is not a contract and doesn't require you to obtain any listed services, nor does it cover any additional services not listed. If you receive a bill that's at least $400 higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute or appeal the bill. description
